Lansing's Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving Team completed its dual meet season undefeated Tuesday when they defeated Watkins Glen 118 to 62, in a meet at Watkins Glen.  Watkins Glen started strong in the first event, taking first in the Women 200 Yard Medley Relay.  They were followed by the Lansing A team, Hannah Wingate, Leigh Conley, Claire Eckstrom and Rachel Bland, in second place, and the Lansing B team, Lexi Payton, Erin Obrien, Kelsy Quigley and Kendal Dean, in third.

But Lansing took first in a series of events starting with the 200 Yard Freestyle, when Nikki Dean took first place in 2:01.44, scoring 6 points.  Kali Dean and Lexi Payton also scored for Lansing.  Hannah Wingate sped to the finish in the 200 Yard IM, taking first place in 2:29.53.  Erin Obrien finished second for Lansing, with Kelsy Quigley scoring in fourth.

Claire Eckstrom took first place in the 50 Yard Freestyle, finishing in  50 Yard Freestyle, finishing in 28.08 with Rachel Bland in second place and Anna Mapes also scoring.  

Kristin Carlson scored first in 1 meter diving with 155.90, while Danyelle Barron took the second highest score of 129.30.

Watkins Glen's Jaclyn Conklin came in first in the 100 Yard Butterfly, but Lansing scored 9 to Watkins Glen's 7 when Nikki Dean, Kelsy Quigley, and Chelsie Radcliffe took second, third and fourth place.  Kali Dean finished the 100 Yard Freestyle in 57.29, earning first place with Kendal Dean and Rachel Bland also scoring.  Watkins Glen's Haleigh Wixson took first place in the 500 Yard Freestyle, but again Lansing won on points when Claire Eckstrom, Ashley McDonald, and Kayla Arrison scored in second, third and fourth.

In the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Kali Dean, Erin Obrien, Rachel Bland and Nikki Dean took the top score of 8 points when they completed the event in 1:47.61.  Anna Mapes, Katrina Mehringer, Maeve Campbell and Ashley McDonald also scored in third place.   Watkins Glen took first and third in the Women 100 Yard Backstroke, with Lansing's Hannah Wingate, Lexi Payton, and Kendal Dean scoring for Lansing.

Molly Murphy sped to first place for Watkins Glen in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, but again Lansing won on points when Leigh Conley took second place just six seconds later, followed by Erin Obrien and Katrina Mehringer.  Finishing the meet, Lansing's A and B teams took first and second place in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with Kali Dean, Claire Eckstrom, Hannah Wingate and Nikki Dean finishing in 4:14.70, and Ashley McDonald, Kayla Arrison, Lexi Payton and Leigh Conley in 4:33.09.

The 118 - 62 score left Lansing undefeated for the season.  With a 12 - 0 season, the Lansing girls will compete this Saturday at the IAC Championships at Horseheads High School.
