ImageLansing's Varsity Girls Swimming & Diving team placed second in the Section IV Class C at the Secionals in Owego last week.  Chenango Valley won the top spot with 456 points followed by Lansing (384), Watkins Glen (215), Delhi (209), Whitney Point (187) Windsor (184), Greene (161), Waverly (161), and Odessa-Montour (143).

Kali Dean was unstoppable when she sped to first place in the 50 Yard Freestyle, finishing in 24.53.  She was first again in the 100 Yeard Freestyle, finishing in 53.75, 17 seconds faster than her qualifying score.

Lansing's Relay A team finished third in the  200 Yard Medley as Lexi Payton, Erin Trowbridge, Courtney Pollack and Katrina Mehringer finished in 2:04.99, shaving a second and a half off of their qualifying time.  Ashley McDonald came in second in the A 200 Yard Freestyle after Watkins Glen's Taylor Chaffee.  Courtney Pollack and Alex Conte took 6th and 7th place in the  200 Yard IM. 

Lindsey Petry and Victoria Palagario-Katz took 6th and 7th place in 1 mtr Diving, with Jasmond Johnson tying for 8th with Watkins Glen's LeeAnn Gezzi.  In the 100 Yard Butterfly Courtney Pollack finished 4th in 1:05.13.  Kelsy Quigley and Erin Trowbridge took 7th and 8th in the 500 Yard  Freestyle. 

Kali Dean, Courtney Pollack, Anna Mapes and Ashley McDonald completed the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay in second place, after Whitney Point.  In the next event Lexi Payton finished 4th, swimming the 100 Yard Backstroke.  In the 100 Yard Breaststroke Alex Conte took 4th place.  Lansing took 3rd in the final event with Ashley McDonald, Anna Mapes, Alex Conte and Kali Dean completing the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
