The Lansing Varsity Softball season ended on Friday with a hard-fought battle against Watkins Glen. The Lansing girls jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning,only to give up 5 in the bottom half-all earned runs. It was back and forth most of the game with Lansing threatening in the 5th and 6th inning with bigs hits from Nicole Arcangeli[3X3],Kelsey Quigley[2X3] and Nina Lindberg[2X4].
With runners in scoring position in both innings, Lansings' attempt to score were stopped with big plays at the plate by the Watkins catcher. Lansing finished the night with 5 runs and only one error.
"I am very pleased how strong we finished the end of the season-certainly much to build from for the upcoming seasons!!!" said Coach Randy Randall.
