Lansing's Varsity Boys Soccer Team lost 1-0 to Spackenkill High School in the New York State Quarterfinals this week, after a triumphant season in which they suffered only one loss, against Marathon in October. The team played well to the finish. "They lost despite out shooting there opponents 9-3," says Coach Adam Heck

Coach Heck reflected on the outstanding season after the game. "The team had great accomplishments this year: finishing 19-2-2, out-scoring opponents 63-8, recording 16 shutouts and winning the IAC and Section IV class B championships."

The team has a lot to be proud of, making the State Championships two years in a row. Mr. Heck noted, "The boys got better every day and will return 16 players from this year's team. We will miss our seniors: David Sotero, Josh Swearingen, Ryan Tengi, Tom Kraft, Andrew Matier and Treyson Barresi."
