baseball_varsity_2_120The Lansing Baseball team improved their record to 17-0 following wins over Divisional rivals Trumansburg and Dryden. At Trumansburg the Bobcats won 19-5 behind the four hit pitching of Sean Streb who benefited from a solid 15 hit attack. Streb aided his own cause going 3 for 5 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI's, while Benji Parkes was 3 for 6 with 3 doubles and 5 RBI's.

The big hit of the game came in the first inning as Kevin Howell hit a grand slam home run to extend the lead to 6-0 essentially putting the game out of reach. Ellington Hopkins also was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's.

At home on Wednesday the Bobcats defeated Dryden 3-0 behind the complete game two hit, 11 strike out  performance of Benji Parkes. Parkes also was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI's, while Brandon Swearingen had an RBI double.

Wednesday's game was the last regular season home game for senior's Brandon Emerick, Kevin Howell, JD McKane, Benji Parkes, Andrew Roth, Sean Streb and Brandon Swearingen.

The Bobcats will play Waverly for the IAC Large school championship on Wednesday May 16th at a site to be determined.
