benreynolds_120Trumansburg, NY (September 18, 2012) -- Ben Reynolds and Reynolds Racing’s No. 47 Chevrolet team finished twenty-sixth in Saturday evening’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway, marking Ben and the team’s first finish in a NASCAR race. The Trumansburg, New York native took the green flag from the 35th position and raced his way to the 26th position within the first 30 laps of the event.

A rocky start for Reynolds as they hauled his No. 47 over 1000 miles from  New York to Iowa when their vehicle broke down two hours into the trip, finally arriving at the Iowa Speedway after 2:30 a.m. Friday morning.  Guided by Crew Chief Scott Coyle, the Reynolds Racing crew worked until the garage closed, and began again Saturday morning until final practice started to get the truck set up for track conditions.

During the race, Crew Chief Scott Coyle brought the truck in for adjustments which helped with the handling.  In the closing laps, Reynolds made his way from 29th position to the highest position of 25th, finally finishing out at 26th.  Reynolds forged ahead to that checkered flag, knowing this was something he had dreamed of doing since he was 12 years old.

“Our team worked hard this weekend, and it was worth it.  I’m extremely proud of my crew and we’re looking forward to our next race.” said Reynolds.
