The Lansing Athletic Hall Of Fame announced the inductees for this year's 'class'. Nancy Wells (1993), James 'Jamie' Wright (2001), The Lansing Girl’s Swimming & Diving Team of 1989-1990, and the 2001 Women’s Basketball Team will be inducted in a special ceremony on December 22.Wells was a 10-time letter winner starring in softball, basketball and swimming. Wright was an 8-time letter winner as a Bobcat, earning one in golf, three in baseball and four in soccer. The 2001 Women’s Basketball Team, coached by Stuart Dean, became the 2001 N Y S Class 'C' Champions. The team also won the Team Scholar Athlete Award with a Team GPA of over 95.0. The LadyCats Swimming and Diving team, coached by Diane Hicks-Hughes, set 25 School records, 36 Pool records, 21 League records, 3 EFA Meet records, 4 I A C Championship records, 9 Class “C” Section IV records, 1 Section IV over-all record and 3 Section IV State Qualifier Meet records. They set 333 “Personal Best” times and swam over 125 miles during the season.

Lansing High School senior Connor Lapresi signed his acceptance of a full wrestling scholarship to Bucknell University last week. Lapresi, who won the State Championship last year, was surrounded by coaches, family, and school administrators.
Lansing saw another successful athletics season this Fall with the varsity boys soccer team and Lansing swimmer Adele Ferris making it to the state championships. The soccer team finished 21 and 1, making it all the way to the finals, where it was defeated by Port Jefferson for the second year in a row. The team was given a Sportsmanship Award, and coach Adam Heck was named Coach of the Year.
For the third time this season the Lansing Bobcats and Trumansburg Blue Raiders met on the volleyball court deadlocked at a win each. And for the second straight time the Lady cats took out the broom. In a game which featured high emotion, intensity, and most of all the chance to keep playing in the postseason, the Lady cats swept the Raiders for a second straight time 27-25, 25-20 and 25-19 in the quarter finals of the IAC section 4 playoffs. In front of a loud Lansing cheering section the Cats fell behind 8-3 in Game 1, and late in the first frame trailed 18-13.
The Lansing Girls Varsity Volleyball Team continued their winning ways by securing its 8th straight IAC match against Moravia at home on Tuesday night October 2nd. The Bobcats swept the Blue Devils in three straight games with scores of 25-17, 25-10, and 25-16.
