Lansing finished number one in the 2007 Class "C" Girls Swimming and Diving Sectionals scoring 360. Dryden followed with 353.5 points, then green (297), Watkins Glen (287.5), Delhi (270), Whitney Point (204), Waverly (181), and Odessa Montour (104). Kali Dean sped to first place in the 50 Yard Freestyle, and 100 Yard Freestyle. She will go on to the State championships. Ashley McDonald, Courtney Pollack, Anna Mapes and Kali Dean also took first place for Lansing in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, completing the event in 3:55.21

The Boys Cross Country team placed 7th at IACs this past Saturday in Marathon. Travis Miller placed 19th and was the first finisher for the Bobcats followed by Josh Barber (20:22), Henry Potter (20:43), Tim Shea (20:48), Jon Fenner (20:57), Mike Monacelli (21:37) and George Wigsten (22:53).
The varsity football team advanced to the Section IV championship game by defeating Trumansburg for the second week in a row 24-6. Vincent Redmond led the team scoring once, throwing for a score and intercepting three passes.
The Lansing Cross Country team had a small but significant showing at the 19th Annual Marathon Invitational on Saturday, October 20. Competing with 20 other area schools, Lansing managed a strong finish in 11th place with only five competitors able to score for the team.
Lansing Varsity soccer boys won the IAC Division I title as they beat Trumansburg 3-0 Goals were scored by Casey Byrne, Nick Geisler and Dan Hranek Geisler's goal was set up by Joe Skeps who sent in a deep cross to Geisler who ran onto the ball and heded a one time shot into the net. The boys fell to Spencer van Etten 1-0 in the IAC semi-final game, though outshooting the Panthers 15-3 the bobcats could not find the back of the goal.
Lansing's varsity football team defeated Trumansburg last Friday 14-6 to end the regular season at 7-1. The Bobcat defense had their best effort of the year holding the Blue Raiders to 65 total yards.
Tompkins Girls Hockey Association (TGHA) will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2007 with the reintroduction of a recreational hockey program for girls whose love of the game persists despite the demands of other activities.
