During the ceremony, Den leader Dan Geise noted that the new LFL is now one of over 40,000 Little Free Libraries world-wide.  The LFL will provide free books to individuals and families accessing the Fields, while encouraging literacy at the same time.

The scouts who took part in the construction of the LFL were Scott Coonrod, Stephen Geise, Dominic Loga, Austin Parente, Dominick Ronsvalle, and Ronan Kennedy-Smith.  The build was supervised by Bill Kennedy-Smith, a professional woodworker.

The new LFL is located on the Lansing Town Fields, just underneath the pavilion by the playgrounds.  Community members are encouraged to visit and 'Take a book, leave a book.'
