radio1Ithaca’s only progressive talk station is now available to be heard on the FM dial.  The station, owned by the Cayuga Radio Group, recently added a translator signal at 97.7FM to enhance listener the broadcast experience also heard at 1470AM.

“The new signal gives us FM quality, and adds greater coverage into downtown Ithaca, and on both the Cornell and Ithaca College campuses,” said Vice President/General Manager Chet Osadchey. “Over the years, we have had many requests from listeners to bring this station to the FM dial, and we are proud to finally be able to invest and accomplish the goal.”

Progressive Talk 1470AM/97.7FM features the premier progressive radio talk show hosts daily.   Mornings with Bill Press (Monday-Friday 6a-9a), followed by The Stephanie Miller Show (Monday-Friday 9a-12n), The Ed Schultz Show (Monday-Friday12n-3p), Randi Rhodes (Monday-Friday 3p-6p), Thom Hartmann (Monday-Friday 6p-9p), Free Talk Live (Monday-Friday 9p-10p), and Alan Colmes (Monday-Friday 10p-12m).  In addition, the station carries various weekend programming including Buffalo Bills NFL football in season.
