mailmanBoard of Elections rules allow 74 days to gather petition signatures from voters of various party affiliations between June 6 and August 18, and records will show that I collected signatures on 71 of those days (the 3 missed days were a daughters' wedding or graduation out of town.)

THANKS to signatures from 939 Lansing voters of every party (Democrats, Republicans, Independence, Working Families, Green, Conservative, etc.) and those who are not affiliated with any party, I am honored to be on the 11/7 ballot for Tompkins County Legislature on the Democratic, Working Families and Lansing Lighthouse (independent) lines. I am passionate about public service and will work equally hard each and every day to represent Lansing District 6 if elected this fall.

Having visited over 1500 households in the process, which means over 1500 unique residences, I did my best to leave literature and a personal note if no one was home.

I appreciate those who have contacted me, following up on the literature I left, and apologize if I left anyone anxious in any way through leaving materials, which was certainly farthest from my intention in attempting to inform each person about my experience and vision. For the 3 instances that I am aware that I created anxiety for residents, I sent or dropped off personal apology notes with a request to speak directly if they so chose.

I look forward to contacting every registered voter between now and November 7th, and meeting as many as possible in person whom I haven't met to date. If you are part of a group, an organization or a neighborhood that would like to arrange an in-person meeting, please do not hesitate to contact me so we can make arrangements.

I deeply respect the voices and perspective of every Lansing resident and strive to be able to represent each person with dedication and integrity in 2018 and beyond.

Michael Koplinka-Loehr, Candidate for Tompkins County Legislature
Lansing, NY
