The Lansing Football team defeated Greene 14-0 to advance to the Section IV Class C championship game.  The Bobcats once again relied on their defense, which put up their sixth consecutive shutout, while forcing three turnovers.

It was a Vincent Redmond interception in the third quarter that led to the Bobcats first touchdown early in the forth quarter, and eventual game winner, a 5 yard Trevor Countryman run, the Rusty Landon kick made the score 7-0.  Turnovers and field position were the keys to the game on this evening as Greene out gained the Cats 271 yards to 209.

It was the resilient bend but but don't break defense that kept Greene out of the endzone, aided by a timely penalty that negated a potential Greene touchdown.  Trevor Countryman once again was the offensive star of the game gaining 148 yards on 22 carries, including both touchdowns, his second coming on a 22 yard run with 2:44 left in the contest to put the game out of reach for the Trojans.

While their task will be a difficult one, the Bobcats look forward to their opportunity to face the defending New York Sate Class C Champions Sidney Warriors, on Saturday November 4th at 1:00 at Union Endicott's  Ty Cobb stadium.  A special thanks to all those who have supported the Bobcat football team this season, hope to see you all on Saturday.
