The Lansing Wrestling team competed at the IAC tournament last weekend finishing 4th in the team race behind Waverly, Tioga, and Newark Valley.  Lansing had four individuals in the finals of the tournament.  Sophmore Kyle Dake ran his record to 30-0, and captured his third consecutive IAC title beating Tioga's Derak Heyman 2-0 at the 112# weight class, and also received the tournaments most outstanding wrestler award.  Both wrestlers are currently ranked in the top 5 in the state at 112 pounds.

Freshman 140 pounder Jon Glennon put together a fine tournament beating Waverly's returning IAC champion Justin Wolcott in the semi-final 4-2, and pinning Marathon's Kasey Bush in the finals, avenging two early season losses respectively.

At 145 pound weight class Senior Curtis Fenner continued his outstanding season beating Waverly's Zack McCutcheon by injury default.  Curtis was leading the match 4-1 at the time of the injury.At 152 pounds, Matt Starner made it to his second final in as many weeks in a rematch of last week  with Waverly's Brian Thall- Henderschott. Thall-Henderschott  pinned Starner in the Mike Watson Invitational a week ago, however Starner wrestled much better this week losing 6-2.

Other Lansing placers were freshman Joe Jimenez who took 3rd at 103 pounds. Senior Donald Krebs placed 4th at 119 pounds, sophmore Jon Fenner took 4th at 152 pounds, and senior Matt Martin placed 5th at 160 pounds.
