Waverly: The Lansing Bobcat Boys team shatters the IAC team record on the way to winning the IAC Tournament on Saturday. Behind its seniors led by Jon LaRock’s 299/754 series and Kyle Christopher’s 254/736 series the Bobcats all bowled very well as this was a total team effort. The top twenty bowlers receive awards at the championship and all of Lansing’s boys’ team was among those twenty.

The old record of 3275 was set earlier this year by these same Bobcats and the new record is now 3330 total pins. Waverly was a distant second with 2980 followed by Candor’s 2974. Other boys’ scores were TAE’s Zack Smith 687, Groton’s Mike Heyn 677, and Elmira Notre Dame John Siedman 674.

The Girls side had Waverly in control with 2586, followed by TAE 2241 and Lansing 2209. Waverly’s Danielle LaRue was the top girl with a 596 series, followed by TAE’s Rachelle Hoyles 571 and Diana Leonard’s 564 and Lansing’s Kristi Sullivan’s 534 series. All teams will be in Vestal this coming weekend as sectionals for boy’s are on Friday and girls are on Saturday.
