Last week Lansing swimmers competed in the Swimming & Diving Sectionals.  Lansing ranked number one with 456, followed by Dryden at 363, Greene with 249, then Watkins Glen, Waverly, Delhi, Whitney Point, Odessa-Montour, and Thomas Edison.

Kendal Dean, Leigh Conley, Claire Eckstrom and Rachel Bland scored 34 points in second place in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, finishing in 2:07.59 in the preliminaries, and shaving their time to 2:05.74 in the finals.  

Nikki Dean completed the 200 Yard Freestyle in first place in 1:59.89, scoring 20 points for Lansing, with Erin Obrien scoring an additional 17 in second place.  Kendal Dean scored 12 points, finishing seventh.  Hannah Wingate scored 16 points finishing the 200 Yard IM in third place.  Kali Dean sped to first place in the 50 Yard Freestyle, scoring 20 points.  

In diving Kristin Carlson scored 16 points in third place, with Danyelle Barron scoring 15.  Then Nikki Dean finished the 100 Yard Butterfly in 1:02.65, taking second place, followed closely by Claire Eckstrom in third.  Kali Dean took first again in the 100 Yard Freestyle, which she completed in 55.37 for 20 points.  Erin Obrien also scored for Lansing, taking fourth place for 15 points.

Hannah Wingate completed the 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:47.08, less than one second behind Greene's first place winner Helen Zangle.  She then took second place along with Erin Obrien, Nikki Dean and Kali Dean in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.  Claire Eckstrom came in third in the 100 Yard Backstroke, completing the event in 1:06.57.  Kendal Dean also scored for Lansing, finishing in 1:11.55.

Leigh Conley scored in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, finishing seventh in 1:20.78.  Then in the final event Hannah Wingate, Nikki Dean, Erin Obrien and Kali Dean took first place in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
